Hagen, this problem is new to me. Did you try to uninstall the app and reinstall from itunes? Does it help? If not, you can also open the settings app, go to the worldview settings, choose Reset and turn that setting off. This will clean the database from your bookmarks. If you have activated the bookmark backup feature, they should be restored if you are connected to the internet after the first startup.

I cannot fix this urgently, since I don't know what the problem is that causes the app to crash and I cannot simulate it on any of my devices, nor can any of my beta testers simulate this.

Good morning, I am sorry for the inconvenience. I just checked and found the issue. There is sadly a problem starting the app on firmware 3.x which slipped through testing.

I already found the reason and I am testing on several devices right now. A new version 2.0.1 was already being worked on this week including lots of minor updates, fixes and improvements. This new bug will also be fixed in thee and submitted to Apple today!

Sorry for the inconvenience this causes

As a note, if you upgrade to iOS 4.0, the problem will not persist, and you would also be able to use some new features like zooming images etc. So if upgrading is an option for you, I highly recommend using iOS 4.0. On the iPod Touch 2nd generation and iPhone 3G you might want to wait for 4.1 though.

    Hello Peter,

if you have a backup of the previous version in the iTunes folder (on a Mac maybe via Time Machine), please use that. If you need assistance on that, please get back to me.

Otherwise, you sadly need to wait until Apple approves the 2.0.1 update. I will submit the new version in a few hours after some more testing.

    Sorry for the trouble

    Hello everybody,

wanted to give you an update. I just updated a bugfix version 2.0.1, which also has lots of other improvements already, to Apple. The app is already in review, the last time it to 3 days from this state. I requested Apple to speed up the review process. Let's see what happens.

Sorry again for the inconvenience this caused

Same problem here: after upgrade to the newest version WorldView+ won't start anymore. Reset in the settings app didn't help. Also reinstalling the app didn't solve the problem.
Device is an iPhone 3GS on iOS 3.1.3.
    Thank you for your support,
    Diet

    Hello Diet,

as mentioned above, you sadly have to wait for the 2.0.1 update or you update your iPhone 3GS to iOS4 and benefit from a lot more new features additionally.

Oh, sorry! Seems I skipped your comment above :-(
So I'll have to wait since I don't want to upgrade to iOS4 for various reasons.
    Thanks anyway!

    Hello,

Apple just approved the 2.0.1 update which fixes the iOS 3.x compatibility issue and some more. It should be available in iTunes within the next hours. Hope you'll enjoy the update and the new UI. Sorry again for the inconvenience, looking forward to some iTunes review if you don't mind.

    Thanks
    Andreas
